Subjects
Schools can choose from more than 100 subjects to create the best pathways for their students. Course selection is dependent on the package your school selects and will be confirmed in collaboration with the SACE Board.

Subject packages and streams (Arts, Humanities and STEM)
The SACE is flexible and there are many choices for content and assessment. This allows teachers to adapt the SACE program to their local setting and cater for student preferences and interests.
Schools can deliver the SACE in different specialist streams. These are groups of subjects that will give students the foundation for a specific study area or career. For example, students could study a business stream, engineering stream, arts stream or science stream.
Please note that it is the responsibility of the School, through appropriate career counselling of students, to ensure that subject selection is aligned with prerequisites and admission requirements for tertiary pathways.
